Get Your Motor Running
Ask anyone with a motorcycle, riding a “big bike” is more than just transportation. It’s the freedom you feel on the open road with the wind blowing, the sun shining, and the engine purring beneath you. Each year thousands of Honda motorcycle enthusiasts who share a passion for their bikes come “home” to Marysville for the annual Honda HomeComingsm event.
The Wheels are Turning
When Kernacopia was asked to design the 2006 Honda HomeComingsm Souvenir Program for event participants and secure advertisers, we wanted to capture the essence of bike riders’ passion and develop and advertising vehicle in which businesses would be proud to participate.
The final design features a silhouette of a motorcycle and its two passengers. One rider looks off in the direction of the ride, while the other looks directly at the viewer, drawing them into the scene. Both riders are engulfed in a magnificent sunset that is the perfect finish to a perfect day on the road. The ground, still covered in shadows, displays the type and logo for this year’s Honda HomeComingsm event.
The design theme of the riders and the brilliant sky are carried throughout the book. Coordinating illustrations appear in the lower left corners of of each page and display a different aspect of riding or the environment one might encounter while being part of the ride. The entire design evokes a spirited sense of freedom and vitality.
Welcome Home
In July, over 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts traveled to Marysville, Ohio to celebrate the joy of the ride and visit the place where their bikes were “born”. This Souvenir Program will serve as their guidebook for event listings, activity descriptions and area maps. Kernacopia was proud to serve the 2006 Honda HomeComingsm event and each of its participants in this unique way. Hopefully... we'll be back for 2007
